awww.... poor frog ,his gonna die soon,totured slowly.=(:...the pitcher's wall is slipery and frogs are slimy,it'll never excape. porr frog=(. anyway,great shot,with that cute frog waiting for death

Let me alleviate your worry:) These frogs move in and out of the pitcher plants all of the time. This picture is not of a frog slipping into the plant, but rather of it coming out. The pitcher plant's coctail that would normally prove fatal to an insect simply provide these frogs with a moist place to stay during the hot day. Towards the evening hours they come out. For all I know, the frogs also steal meals from the pitcher plants if an insect is drawn near. Its probably a win/win for the frog.:)

Also, the walls of the pitcher plant are slippery to most insects, but to some things they are not. There are actually some animals, like spiders, that hang out in pitcher plants to eat those who do fall in. Frogs, though they may seem slimy to us, have a tremendous ability to cling to all kinds of surfaces. They by no means have "butter fingers":)
